Review of your Tax Return Letters

The Virginia Dept. of Revenue is sending Review of your Tax Return Letters to taxpayers to verify withholding information. Because of the increase in identity theft and fraud, they are taking extra precautions to validate refund returns. Read the letter carefully to determine if you need to take any action.
Receiving the letter does not mean that information is inaccurate.
If you did not submit a return, check the indicated box and fax or mail to the address shown.
If you did submit a return, send the requested documents.
If you have already received your refund, this means they were able to verify your information and you may disregard the letter.
